Alpheon Energy helps large corporations to generate energy on their sites (e.g. rooftops, unused land, etc) from sustainable sources that include solar, wind and other ‘green’ energy technologies. The technologies and operations are tailored to parameters specific to the locations. Alpheon ensures an optimal technical solution and operational efficiency through its services covering all necessary steps, including engineering, financing and operations.
As part of its services, Alpheon wants to develop the optimal solution for generating energy at/on supermarkets. Therefore we are performing this ground breaking project in cooperation with a leading supermarket chain: Development of the local energy generation solution for supermarkets.
Casala produces object furniture, furniture to be deployed where design is to prove its functional worth: in conference centres and churches, at offices, universities, government agencies and in care centres. Link ability, stack ability, numeration and possibilities for means of transport and storage are no coincidences; they are deliberately integrated in the design. Materials used, as well as production conditions comply with the current environmental standards.
Current available electronic numeration system for chairs aren’t sufficient enough for the requirements/wishes Casala and its customers demands for such a system. Casala has the opinion that a new innovative own system will improve the usage, possibilities and demands within the segments were object furniture is applied. Casala is seeking for a system that includes the core values of Casala: contemporary, innovative, quality, environment, smart solutions.
A customer has developed a patented, new, RF (radio frequent) system for reading out sensors. The sensortags can (in principle) read many types of sensors: moisture (of a substrate such as soil, see picture), but also of diapers) humidity, conduc- tivity, temperature, pressure, acceleration or force (also torque), presence of a gas. Anything that will cause a capacitance or inductance to change, can be read out. Advantage of the new sensor is that that the sensor themselves can be extremely simple and cheap to produce. This opens ups possible applications where existing sensors are too expensive.
The challenge is to identify opportunities, and to develop them: The concept, the detailed technical solutions, and the market (marketing proposition).

Find a completely new route to store solar energy and to convert it to heat and fuel. Not conventional batteries, hydrogen or hydrocarbons are used as storage or fuel medium but a new clean chemical compound that is obtained by direct electrochemical conversion of solar electricity. Upon conversion of this compound large amounts of heat and electricity are released which can be conducted to the grid or used in gas turbines, fuel cells. The new battery particularly seems interesting to store so- lar energy but it is the goal of this project is to practically evaluate different scenarios in product, process and market development. The feasibility study enables the team to set a new springboard for a breakthrough in renewable energy process- ing. More details will be given upon assignment.

The KG-1 Concept sports car was designed around the human body. The driver sits in an active position, the passenger in a passive one. The semi- integral body and frame can be produced using carbon fibre-reinforced material. This light, strong composite material offers considerable savings in weight and greater mechanical strength. A mesh of protective fibers is stretched around the composite frame like a second skin. It is sufficiently elastic, and yet extremely strong. This high-tech textile can already offer numerous functional char-acteristics.
